	Are you TAPing yet? Transfer Artist Paper, or TAP, is the latest technology in iron-on transfer paper from Lesley Riley/fabric•ologie. With TAP, once the image is transferred it is fused into the fibers of the fabric and becomes part of the material. You can iron on it, paint on it, even wash it.
	When you transfer onto a sheer fabric, such as organza or scrim, you must place a piece of fabric under the sheer material to catch the excess inks that will migrate through these more open weaves during the transfer. But that's a good thing!
	Layering the sheer fabric with the TAP transfer directly over the “catch” fabric adds a remarkable depth to the original transferred image. In my sample, I used plain muslin as my “catch” fabric, but you can create an assortment of effects using colored or even printed fabrics. A shadow effect can be created by slightly offsetting the sheer layer over the background fabric.
