Shimmering background technique

This is a very easy technique with great result!
Needed:

Photo printpaper
Embossing inkpad
stamp
shimmering mist

You can make your own shimmering mist by adding a very small amount of perfect pearls to a mister filled with water,or for color, filled with water and a few drops of Distress ink refiller.
Stamp the image with embossing ink onto the photo paper. Let dry.
Generously spray the shimmering mist on the stamped and dried images. Now you will see the embossing ink will act as a resist to the watery mist.

Leave to dry. You can use your heattool for drying the mist quickly but i find it changes the color a bit ( and not for the best) so its better to be patient.

Using two colors of shimmering ink will leave for a prettier result.

This is a skinny ( 3x5 inch) i created with this background. In the background i used more stamps from the Michelle Ward series by Stampington Clearly Impressed.
The cute boy is named Jacob (#565)

Leuk Monique, heb dit nog niet uitgebrobeerd op fotopapier.

Very nice Monique, have not tried this on photo-paper.

Ohhh I love that...I am going to give it a try today. I have found that if I spray my pages with Aquanet it kind of sets them a little sooner. I never thought of using photo paper for this. Thanks so much
